24.A lawyer friend of mine has devoted herself to the service of humanity. Her special area is called"public interest law". Many other lawyers represent only clients who can pay high fees. All lawyers have had expensive and highly specialized training, and they work long, difficult hours for the money they earn. But what happens to people who need legal help and cannot afford to pay these lawyers' fees? Public interest lawyers fill this need. Lisa , like other public interest lawyers, earns a salary much below what some lawyers can earn.Because she is willing to take less money, her clients need the help, even if they can pay nothing at all. Some clients need legal help because stores have cheated them with faulty merchandise. Others are in unsafe apartments, or are threatened with eviction (驱逐,赶出 )and have no place to go to. Their cases are called "civil" cases. Still others are accused of criminal acts, and seeking those public interest lawyers who handle "criminal" cases. These are just a few of the many situations in which men and women who are public interest lawyers serve to extend justice throughout our society.24.1 A person who needs and uses legal help is called a _____.A.lawyerB.clientC.tenantD.case worker

22. Sports have unwritten rules, so does the business—and violators are often punished just as swiftly. Here are some of them. First of all, never dress above your position. Everybody knows that dressing for success is important in the job. It’s also the surest way to draw the not-so-friendly fire of colleagues. Dress slightly “better” if you want—but just slightly. Otherwise you’ll be perceived as a shameless climber. The only time this doesn’t apply is if you run your own business, but even then you should dress in a way that enhances your image while ensuring customers feel comfortable. Besides, never embarrass a peer in a meeting. A colleague proposes an idea. It stinks. Not your job to say so, though. If you’re a supervisor and another supervisor makes a terrible suggestion that doesn’t affect your area or your employees, sit tight. Let someone else, preferably someone above you, shoot it down. Then jump in if you can to modify the idea so it is more workable, giving credit to the other supervisor for raising an important issue, of course. Bad ideas come and go, but professional relationships should be forever. Furthermore, never “borrow” someone’s idea. Business owner, CEO, supervisor, entry-level employee … doesn’t matter. Always give credit where credit is due. Steal an idea and the victim never forgets. And don’t fall back on the old, “Well, they work for me, and we’re a team … so I was just raising the idea on behalf of the team.” No one goes for that excuse but you.(10分)22.1 According to the passage, what is the similarity between sports and business?(2分)A. They have promising future prospects.B. They never punish the violators.C. They both have strict rules.D. They both have unwritten regulations.
