Art should Be Understandable to Most People
Should any forms of art such as film, literature, sculpture, etc. be understandable to most people? People hold different views towards it.
?????Some people believe that there is no need for people to understart of its certain forms. For one thing, as people’s knowledge is limited, it is impossible for them to perceive the real thoughts that a piece of artistic work conveys. For another, the difficulty in understanding works of art can give people enough room for their imagination.
?????While other people argue that good art should be understandable to most people. They emphasize if the existence of a piece of artistic work becomes so vague for most people that it loses its popularity among the public, then it is a meaningless piece of work.
My opinion is the merit of artistic works has nothing to do with the understanding of most people. As long as an artistic work is an expression of the author’s true emotions thoughts, it is a valuable one.
